Origins of the Club
Founded in October 1985 by a group of friends who, after more than ten years flying together, decided to organize as an entity. Vicenç Fonolleda, Antoni Huerta, Paco Puchol and others discovered the aptitude of our slopes for R/C sailplane flight.
Flying Area
Our flying area is located in the Serra de Collserola, crowned by Mount Tibidabo, bordering Barcelona to the North and West. The slopes are accessible even by public transport. We fly with the city of Barcelona at our feet.
Sporting Activity
We organize an average of ten competitions and events each year, dedicated to our members and to promoting aeromodelling among young people and people with disabilities, in collaboration with other institutions.
Meeting Point
During spring and summer, the proximity to the city makes our slopes an almost daily meeting point. In summer time, you can find us on the slopes, preferably in the evenings. We meet the last Tuesday of each month.
Flight Conditions
The slopes allow flying medium-sized sailplanes, as both lift and landing conditions are limited. Access is strictly limited to club members for flight safety reasons.
Community & Inclusion
We organize events dedicated to spreading our hobby among people with disabilities. We actively collaborate with the Civic Centre of Sarrià – Sant Gervasi district, where our headquarters are located. The Club also belongs to the Consultative Council of Collserola Park.
